Using Tito + Smoke Signal for ATProto NYC Community Hack Day

Thanks @ngerakines for helping out with powering the NYC Community Hack Day!

I set up a Tito event (Nick, you’re an admin and should have access, that’s the test link for now) with three tickets:

  • full day pass
  • daytime community hack (10am → 4pm)
  • evening social (6pm → 9pm)

The event location won’t have full address to Hex House, we’ll share that by email (can use Tito backend for this).

I have the placeholder event for the whole day here → Smoke Signal

I think I need to

  • create a daytime community hack SS event
  • create the evening social SS event

(the Tito tickets have decent descriptions to start with) That’s on the atproto account, not sure how I can “share” that with you Nick?

I think we’re going to use nyc.atproto.camp as the page to host all this that Nick

Other notes to self things to put on the page in addition to description

  • Eli at Streamplace and AT Community Fund are sponsors so far
  • Evening speaker presentations need to be finalized, some notes in the wiki page

Are the tito tickets required for attendees? I don’t see any reference to it on the smokesignal event page.

We’re working on it as one of the first demos / PoC of Tito + Smoke Signal.

Among other things we have to distribute the address of the venue which doesn’t want it shared publicly.
